Privacy Policy for AI Scope Guard

AI Scope Guard ("we", "our", or "us") provides a browser extension and web dashboard designed to help freelancers, contractors, and agencies analyze incoming client communications against signed Statements of Work (SOWs) to prevent unpaid scope drift.

1. Information We Collect

We only process data strictly necessary to fulfill the single purpose of the extension:

• Authentication Information: An anonymous session/pairing token stored locally in chrome.storage to connect the extension to your AI Scope Guard project workspace.
• User-Initiated Communication Text: When you invoke AI Scope Guard on a selected email or message thread in supported web interfaces (such as Gmail or WhatsApp Web), the selected message text is sent via encrypted HTTPS to our Firebase Cloud Functions to be compared against your project's SOW.

2. How We Use Information

All processed information is used solely to:

• Authenticate your authorized extension requests.
• Perform real-time scope drift detection and generate polite reply recommendations.
• Enforce your active subscription tier limits (e.g., prompt check quotas).

3. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, trade, or transfer your personal data or communication contents to third parties. We do not use your communications for advertising, marketing, profiling, or creditworthiness evaluations.

Data transmitted for AI analysis is processed securely through Google Cloud / Firebase and Gemini APIs under standard enterprise zero-data-retention and non-training terms.

4. Data Retention & Security

All communication analysis requests are processed ephemerally. We employ industry-standard SSL/TLS encryption for all data in transit. Pairing tokens are kept locally in your browser storage and can be revoked at any time from your dashboard.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
